UNM is required by the Internal Revenue Service to apply U.S. tax withholding and reporting rules consistent with your U.S. tax status, resident alien or nonresident alien.
UNM Payroll will send you an email with instructions on how to log on to the Foreign National Information System (FNIS) to complete the process. Please respond to this email at your earliest convenience. When you are done, be sure to print, sign and bring the FNIS form to Payroll, along with all the documents requested in the email.
